Hi, could you please show us how to actual primary loss and actual excess loss in this example:

claim type: medical; loss of the claim:180,000

Sate per claim accident limit:175,000

split point for primary and excess loss:5000

I understand the primary loss is min(5000,180,000)*0.3=1500, but I am confused on excess loss calculation with the state per accident limit.

Thanks!

Hi,

The "Expected Losses" paragraph of the wiki article ends with "The risk's actual loss experience will be benchmarked against its expected risk class experience to determine the experience modification."

Does "its expected risk class experience" refer to the quantity just calculated in the paragraph, i.e. E = Payroll/100 * ELR ?

Which means that E is the expected losses for all hypothetical risks that would be in this class, if they had the same amount of Payroll. Am I understanding the general idea correctly here?

Hi,

I'm a bit confused in regards to the lookup tables for both ISO and NCCI.

a) For 2016.Q10, where do I find the ELR, D-Ratio, W, B, G, split points, etc? I can't find them in my study kit, so maybe I'm not looking in the right spot?

b) In general, I'm confused by the layout of the Study Kit's tables. Is there a reading that clearly explains the layout of them and how to use them?

c) Do you expect the necessary information will be given to us within the excel environment (similar to the problems such as "NCCI Experience Rating Example", or do you think they'll be given in the "formulas" section as an excerpt?

Thanks!
