FALL 2022 UPDATE
The new syllabus is now on-line on the CAS website but the 2022 study kit is not yet available. There is one "new" article - the updated NCCI experience rating manual - once the CAS study kit is ready we will detail any changes to that article.
The rest of the syllabus has no changes to the source material but the CAS has added detail to the learning objectives. They have also adjusted the weights assigned to the sections to place more emphasis on the Bahnemann and Fisher readings. In our opinion, this reflects the existing evolution of Exam 8 rather than a shift for 2022 and later.
Lastly, this is the first time the CAS has promised to give you entire copies of the ISO and NCCI manuals during the exam rather than excerpts if needed. This shouldn't affect your approach for studying these types of problems as you need to be super fast during the exam so you've still got to practically memorize the methods. Knowing you can look up a detail if you forgot a step during the exam should be helpful though. However, this is the CAS we're talking about so until we know for sure you should plan on not having the entire manuals to hand during the exam. As BattleActs learns more within the confines of the CAS exam discussion terms we'll pass that information along to our users.
